Optimized Payments research found governed data boosted AI accuracy from 5% to 98%. Harmonize MCP Server brings trusted payments data to the AI tools teams use.
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Optimized Payments, a leader in enterprise payments analytics and optimization, today announced the launch of the Harmonize MCP Server, giving customers a secure way to connect compatible AI tools to governed payments data in Harmonize.
As payments teams bring AI into their daily workflows, the quality of the underlying data is becoming a critical constraint. Processor data arrives in different formats, definitions vary across sources, and one-off file uploads can produce answers that look credible but don’t reconcile with the numbers finance and payments teams rely on.
“Harmonize’s MCP connector lets us use AI to explore our payments data, validate chargeback counts, and connect processing fees to revenue analysis. Pairing those insights with our Snowflake data gives us a more complete picture of how payments affect our business,” said Jason Brechler, Payment Operations Manager, PeopleFinders.
Optimized Payments recently measured the impact in The Data Tax, a study that asked the same AI model 80 payments questions across multiple levels of data readiness. With raw processor data and code access, the model met the study’s success criteria on just 5% of questions. With governed, tested calculations, that figure reached 98%, while cost per question fell 84%. The model stayed the same; only data readiness and how the model accessed the data changed.
The Harmonize MCP Server extends that governed foundation into enterprise AI workflows. Built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), it allows compatible AI assistants to securely access authorized, normalized and enriched payments data from Harmonize.
AI tools can already query enterprise payments data. The challenge is making sure they interpret it correctly. Harmonize adds the enrichment, governed definitions and tested calculations that turn normalized data into answers finance and payments teams can trust.
“Companies are moving quickly to put AI to work in payments, but the harder question is whether they can trust the answers,” said Anand Goel, Founder and CEO of Optimized Payments. “That trust starts with a reliable system of record underneath the AI. Harmonize MCP gives our clients that governed foundation in the tools they already use, without asking them to recreate years of payments data governance themselves.”
The Harmonize MCP Server uses OAuth authentication, tenant isolation and access logging. It extends existing Harmonize Analytics and Data Exchange access into AI workflows, allowing customers to use governed payments data without introducing another payments data environment to maintain.
“For payments teams, the value isn’t simply being able to ask AI a question. It’s being able to act on the answer,” said Joey Dembek, Chief Operating Officer of Optimized Payments. “If someone asks why processing costs increased, why authorization rates changed or why two numbers don’t reconcile, the answer needs to hold up under scrutiny from finance and leadership. That’s what putting governed Harmonize data behind AI makes possible.”
“Having governed payments data available through MCP has made it easier for teams across product, finance and technology to use AI against a consistent source of truth. We’ve seen adoption expand across the organization as teams find new ways to explore and understand our payments data,” said a payments leader at a global online retailer.
The launch adds another way for customers to use the Harmonize system of record. Harmonize Analytics provides dashboards and AI-assisted analysis, Data Exchange delivers governed datasets into internal environments, and MCP makes approved Harmonize context available to compatible AI tools.
Availability
Optimized Payments is rolling out Harmonize MCP access to all customers over the next few months. MCP will use the same credentials as Harmonize Analytics, making it easy for customers to extend their existing governed payments data into compatible AI tools without a separate login or access model.
Harmonize MCP currently supports ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor. Optimized Payments is actively testing additional MCP-compatible AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, with broader support planned in the coming months.
