Advancing Trust in Mission-Critical Manufacturing
FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Velo3D, Inc. (Nasdaq: VELO), a leader in advanced metal additive manufacturing technology, today announced that it is now a participating member of the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP). Participation supports Velo3D’s existing quality, reliability and supply-chain risk-management processes for its defense manufacturing activities.
GIDEP is a cooperative information-sharing program between the U.S. government and industry that provides participating organizations access to critical technical, quality, reliability and supply-chain information. The program helps members identify potential issues, reduce risk and improve the performance and reliability of products supporting government and defense programs.
“Trust and reliability are essential when producing parts for mission-critical defense applications,” said Arun Jeldi, CEO of Velo3D. “GIDEP gives Velo3D access to critical information shared across government and industry, complementing the quality and risk-management processes that support our defense manufacturing activities.”
Velo3D supports U.S. defense manufacturing through its Sapphire® family of large-format metal additive manufacturing systems and Rapid Production Solutions (RPS), which provide production capabilities for complex, mission-critical metal components. GIDEP membership adds another resource for information sharing and risk management across Velo3D’s defense manufacturing activities.
