San Ramon, California – October 21, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Harmony & Healing, a nonprofit founded in 2019 by David Victor, former guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the multiplatinum band BOSTON, continues to deliver free live professional musical performances to groups of patients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, with a growing emphasis on memory care communities.

The organization sends professional musicians into community and common spaces at hospitals, hospice facilities, rehabilitation centers, memory care communities, VA hospitals, and cancer support groups. Performances are presented to groups of patients gathered together, often twenty or more at a time, rather than in individual settings. Harmony & Healing serves patients of all ages, from pediatric units to senior memory care residents, and also offers select virtual visits via Zoom.

The focus on memory care reflects a longstanding interest within the organization in how music reaches individuals living with cognitive conditions. Live performances in memory care communities bring residents together in shared common spaces, where familiar songs and melodies become a point of connection for residents and caregivers alike.

David Victor, Founder and Executive Director, traces the mission back to the organization’s beginnings. “Harmony and Healing was founded in 2019 because music has a way of reaching people when little else can,” Victor said. “After years of performing on large stages, I saw an opportunity to bring professional live music directly to patients who cannot attend concerts, and memory care residents are among those who respond most meaningfully to a shared musical experience.”

The organization works with professional musicians who perform group sets in healthcare and residential settings. All services are provided free of charge to patients and facilities, supported entirely by corporate donations, private donations, and planned giving. Harmony & Healing does not charge participating communities for performances.

Funding for the group performances is sustained in part through an annual Harmony and Healing benefit concert, which gathers supporters and raises funds that allow the organization to schedule visits across the region throughout the year. Proceeds from these events underwrite the cost of sending musicians into facilities that serve memory care residents and other patient groups.

Victor noted that the group format shapes the experience in memory care communities. “When residents come together in a common space for a live performance, something shifts in the room,” Victor said. “Caregivers often tell us that a song can spark recognition and conversation long after the music ends, and that is exactly the kind of moment the organization set out to create.”

Harmony & Healing accepts requests from facilities and loved ones seeking to arrange a performance, and welcomes professional musicians interested in participating in its program.
