Regeneration Turns Gold Into Restoration With Mejuri’s Third Salmon Gold Collection

Mejuri drops new jewelry collection with Regeneration’s Salmon Gold, recovered from tailings at legacy mine sites in Alaska and the Yukon

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Today, Mejuri, the global fine jewelry brand, released its third exclusive jewelry collection with Salmon Gold™. Regeneration‘s Salmon Gold is gold recovered from old, degraded mine sites as part of river and habitat restoration.

The partnership between Regeneration and Mejuri is connecting the recovery of minerals from legacy mine sites with the restoration of landscapes and waterways and putting the product in the hands of Mejuri’s customers.

Salmon Gold has reclaimed more than 44 acres of habitat and 2,650 linear meters of stream. In 2025, 11 acres of upland habitat and 1,000 linear meters of streams were restored. At the Sulphur Creek gold site, restoration completed in partnership with local First Nations has supported the return of wildlife including birds of prey, wolves, and lynx.

Regeneration works with placer miners to recover gold still sitting in mine waste and rebuild the river system and surrounding habitat. Historical placer mining sometimes impacted streams and rivers across Alaska and the Yukon, degrading stream channels for salmon and other migratory fish. Some of the impacts go back over 100 years.

Mejuri became a Regeneration Founding Partner in 2023. The partnership resulted in the world’s first jewelry collection made with gold recovered from mine waste that restores habitat. The collection has since become an annual, limited release, with each year’s supply tied to the story of metals recovery and restoration.
