New bundle puts the first two courses of 911TI’s Certified Peer Supporter pathway online through Equature’s Apprentice Training portal
SOUTHFIELD, MI, UNITED STATES, October 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Equature, a public safety technology company serving 911 communications professionals, today announced a partnership with the 911 Training Institute (911TI) to offer a Resilience & Peer Support bundle on demand through the Equature Apprentice Training portal.
911TI provides science-based, real-world training built for first responders. The bundle includes the two 8-hour courses required before students can enroll in 911TI’s Peer Support Certification class:
– Survive & Thrive: Core Stress Resilience Training, recorded by Jim Marshall. Students learn to recognize stress, manage distress in the moment, break unhealthy patterns, and build habits for a healthier career and life outside the job.
– The Power of Peer Support, recorded by Dr. Rick Janka. This course covers the core principles, boundaries, and real-world impact of peers supporting one another in public safety.
Students can access the courses in a bundle and take them at their own pace and around their shift schedules. Finishing both meets the prerequisites for The Certified Peer Supporter (CPS), a 24-hour advanced training and certification course. 911TI teaches CPS live only – either in person or via Zoom. CPS prepares peers to assess a colleague’s needs, handle difficult conversations, provide support, and recognize when more resources are needed.
“Our partnership with the 911 Training Institute is one I deeply value,” said Cherie Bartram, Education Program Director at Equature. “We’re proud to work side by side with the professionals at 911TI to bring this specialized training to 911 personnel wherever they are. Peer support training is needed in every PSAP, and making these courses available on demand helps more telecommunicators get started on that path.”
Dr. Rick Janka, CEO of the 911 Training Institute, shares that “The introduction of peer support teams has been one of the most significant advances in wellness for 911 professionals in years. At 911TI, we want to reduce as many barriers as possible to train and certify the next generation of peer supporters. That’s why I am so excited to announce this partnership with Equature.”
The Resilience & Peer Support bundle is coming soon! For details on the Certified Peer Supporter course, visit www.911training.net.
